Auction Disputes

If something goes wrong after a property auction closes, open a dispute. An admin reviews both sides and decides the outcome.

When to open a dispute

  • Winner: The host won’t honor the stay or terms shown on the listing.
  • Creator (Host): The winner isn’t complying with reasonable next steps or the listing rules.
  • Timing: Open within 3 days after the auction ends.

What to include

  • Reason: Briefly describe what happened.
  • Evidence: Links to screenshots, emails, messages, or photos.
  • Be clear: Stick to facts that help an admin verify your claim.

What happens next

  • Review: Admin reads both sides and checks the listing details.
  • Decision: Outcome is set to one of the statuses below.
  • Notification: You’ll be emailed when a decision is made.

Status meanings

  • Open — Waiting for admin review.
  • Resolved → Winner — Decision favors the winning bidder.
  • Resolved → Creator — Decision favors the host.
  • Dismissed — Not enough evidence or out of scope.

Tips

  • File promptly and keep your explanation short and factual.
  • Attach clear links (public or shareable) to your evidence.
  • Be responsive if the admin requests more information.
