How it Works

Bid on a property in real time. Browse photos and details, watch the countdown, place a bid, or use book now to secure it instantly.

Place Bid: Enter an amount at or above the required minimum and submit.
BOOK NOW: If available, lock the property immediately at the displayed price.
Fair play: Hosts can’t bid on their own listings.

What it does: Set your maximum and we’ll auto-bid for you, just enough to stay ahead, using the auction’s minimum increment.
First bid rule: If there are no bids yet, enabling proxy places the starting bid for you (must be > 0 and equal to the starting price).
No self-outbidding: If you’re already the highest bidder, enabling or increasing proxy will not outbid your own top bid.
Balance check: Your proxy maximum cannot exceed your available balance.
Locks & refunds: Funds are locked to cover your current top bid. If you’re outbid and have no active proxy, your lock is released automatically.
Ties: If two players set the same proxy max, the earlier proxy wins at that amount.
Raising proxy: You can raise your maximum anytime; we only auto-bid when needed to keep you in the lead.
Disabling: Turn proxy off anytime. Your current top bid stays, but we won’t auto-raise further.

Threshold: BOOK NOW turns off once the current highest bid reaches the Buy-Now price, or when the next legal bid would meet/exceed it.
Why: To keep the auction fair and consistent with real-time bidding.

Available vs. Locked: Bids hold funds until you’re outbid or the auction ends.
Top up: Add funds before bidding so your offer goes through smoothly.
Refunds: If you don’t win, held funds are released automatically.

Reserve badge: No Reserve, Reserve Not Met, or Reserve Met.
Winning: When time runs out (or on BUY NOW), the highest valid bid that meets the reserve wins.
After you win: You’ll get the next steps to redeem and confirm your stay.

Use BOOK NOW if you don’t want to risk being outbid.
Check photos, amenities, and any stay window before you bid.
Pro tip: Set a proxy max you’re comfortable with—your actual bid only rises when needed.
